So. It's been a while since I've done any blogging and I think we've decided to go with a "Blink" themed Halloween for 2010, so I'm going to try to document the creation of the costumes and of my attempt to build a timey-wimey detector that actually goes "ding."
So, here's a look at what we've done for Halloween 2009. I'm going as the Tenth Doctor. Jamee is going as the TARDIS, or, as she calls it - my accessory.
Here it is prior to painting. I'm not too happy with how the supports kind of bow out, but once painted it looks a bit better, especially since they're the same color as the rest of it.
I initially spray-painted it, but it looked like crap. I bought some acrylics and repainted the whole thing.
And here it is with the signage affixed and the windows glued into place. I've cut out and painted the inner frames for the windows and they're currently drying, so I should be able to glue them into place soon.
